At Warrnambool West Primary School, we believe education is a partnership between our school, parents and the community. Our Parents and Friends Association (PFA) provides the perfect opportunity for our parents to be involved in school life, events and celebrations.
At Warrnambool West Primary School we have a very enthusiastic and dedicated Parents and Friends Association.
The primary aim of the group is to advance the social and financial welfare of our school by:
- Undertaking fundraising activities either to meet agreed financial commitments and/or provide facilities and resources for the students and the school.
- Promoting a sense of community spirit within the school through the organising of parent and community functions and events.
Some Parents’ Association activities include:
fundraising, organising special celebration days, Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day stalls, assisting with special activities, book club, organising opportunities for social activities and interaction with other parents.
Funds raised by our PFA have directly benefited our school in many and varied ways. The funds contribute to the implementation of new programs and the progression and improvement of existing ones. For example: new resources for school programs, facilities and activities.
Our active Parents’ association is open to all parents and friends of Warrnambool West Primary School.
Our PFA meets monthly, on a day decided at the previous meeting. The Annual General Meeting is held in March.
If would like more information about our PFA and/or are interested in joining please contact our school office on 5561 3161
